Empowered Event at The Door W4
The Door W4 were very excited to host InMode’s press launch of their brand-new technology for women’s health, Empower RF. Empower RF harnesses the power of advanced radio-frequency energy as well as intra-vaginal electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to treat a broad range of intimate concerns without the need for surgery or hormones. It is set to completely redefine the women’s health space, offering what can often be life-changing treatment options.
The morning event comprised of coffee and breakfast on the patio followed by informative presentations and compelling panel discussions in the training room. We welcomed welcomed guest speakers including Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Vivek Nama (who now treats every Monday here at The Door), cosmetic doctor and intimate health specialist Dr Shirin Lakhani, aesthetic doctor Dr Sarah Jenkins and aesthetic doctor and GP Dr Magdelena Bejma as they participated in a panel discussion led by Tater’s Contributing Beauty Editor and founder of The Beauty Triangle, Francesca Ogiermann- White.
‘This is a fundamental part of health and we’re still ignoring it. 51% of our population is women and yet all of the research is focused on male physiology,’ said cosmetic doctor and intimate health Dr Shirin Lakhani during the panel discussion. ‘I don’t want my children to suffer the way that our generation and my parent’s generation has suffered. I want there to be more education and more funding. I don’t want people to feel embarrassed about looking after their sexual and intimate health any longer. These conversations are incredibly welcome and hopefully will pave the way for a healthier future,’ she continued.
Consultant Gynaecologist at The Door W4, Dr Vivek Nama said: ‘Women’s wellness is quintessential to the wellbeing of society. With an increasing life expectancy, a third of women’s life is spent in menopause. Most women suffer from incontinence after childbirth and continue to suffer because of vaginal atrophy in menopause.
